Festival Guide: December '22 Festivals!

Happy December, everyone! For this festival guide edition, I will be featuring some of the holiday-centric festivals taking place this month, as well as some extras in between!

GRiZMAS
Detroit, MI

Hope you’re a GRiZ fan, because he will be playing host to two different festivals this month! First up is GRiZMAS, a two-night annual Christmas-themed electronic music fest taking place in his hometown of Detroit at the Detroit Masonic Temple on December 9 & 10. On the lineup is Canabliss, KHIVA, Wreckno, and a B2B show from DirtySnatcha and Carbin.

Space Camp 
Hampton, VI

GRiZ is also back with his second edition of Space Camp, another two-night event at the Hampton Coliseum in Virginia. Space Camp will feature performances from NGHTMRE, Zingara, Sonorous, G Jones, Of The Tree, and A Hundred Drums, as well as a performance from GRiZ himself on both nights.

LA3C
Los Angeles, CA

Coming to the LA State Historic Park on December 10 & 11 is the new music, art and food festival, LA3C. Music fans looking for a hip-hop and latin flair, this one might be for you! Notable names on this lineup include Lil Baby, Maluma, and Snoop Dogg among many others.

Viva Urbana 2022 
Miami, FL

Also on December 10 & 11 is the Viva Urbana festival at the Miami Dade County Fair & Expo in Florida. This is the self-proclaimed biggest reggaeton festival in the U.S.! This lineup’s headliners include J Balvin, Nicky Jam, Don Omar, and Maluma.

Jackpot NYE
Las Vegas, NV

Here begins the New Year’s Eve festival lineup, starting off with JACKPOT NYE at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center on December 30 & 31. This stacked lineup includes the likes of deadmau5, Porter Robinson, Rezz, RL Grime, Deorro and many more!

Countdown NYE
San Bernardino, CA

Next up is Countdown New Year’s Invasion, hosted by our good friends at Insomniac at the NOS Event Center in San Bernardino. The dates are December 30 & 31, and also have a too-many-to-list lineup featuring great artists like Zedd, Tchami, SLANDER, Jauz, DJ Snake, and deadmau5.

OMFG! NYE
San Diego, CA

This long-running New Year’s festival is hosted at the Pechanga Area in San Diego on December 30 & 31. On the lineup, we have ACRAZE, Gryffin, RL Grime, Porter Robinson, Said The Sky, Ship Wrek, and San Holo, along with a few others.

Fresh Start Festival 
San Francisco, CA

Our first and only three-day festival on the list is the Fresh Start Festival, an annual New Year celebration at The Midway in San Francisco. Taking place from December 30 - January 1, this lineup includes Sofi Tukker, John Summit, Wax Motif, Zhu, and Madeon, to name a few.

CRSSD Proper NYE 
San Diego, CA

Last but not least is Proper NYE, hosted by the folks at CRSSD on December 31 and January 1 at Petco Park in San Diego. This dance party is also full of big names, including Chris Lake, Fisher, John Summit, Kaskade, Lane 8, and Sofi Tukker to name a few.
